Chad Simmons: Tennessee Has Slight Edge For George MacIntyre

2025 five-star quarterback George MacIntyre (Nashville, Tenn.) has been a priority for the Tennessee Volunteers for months. On3's Chad Simmons has the latest.
In this story:

George MacIntyre stopped by Knoxville, Tennessee, over the weekend to get another look at the Vols. Though Tennessee was bested in all three phases by the visiting Georgia Bulldogs, many recruits had a fun time, including MacIntyre. He was in town for the Texas A&M game earlier this season and is well-tuned into the team's dynamic.

MacIntyre has long held a goal of committing in early 2024 to ensure he can peer-recruit for whichever program he chooses. That means the time is running out, and some think this could be his last visit before he commits. On3's Chad Simmons spoke with MacIntyre after the weekend and updated where Tennessee sits. You can watch the full On3 recruiting video from which this quote was pulled here.

"I may slightly lean toward Tennessee coming off this last trip, but I think Alabama and Tennessee have a slight edge over LSU." - On3's Chad Simmons on George MacIntyre

There may be some twists and turns ahead in this recruitment, but it seems the Vols are in a good spot here, with time running out for MacIntyre.
