4-Star OT Jack Lange Talks Coaching Relationships, Offer From Tennessee
Tennessee offensive line coach Glen Elarbee likes to stay ahead of other top programs in the recruiting world, which means extending early offers. Four-star Missouri offensive lineman Jack Lange was one of his recent early offers - he's a junior from Eureka High School in Eureka, Missouri. The young prospect measures around 6-8 and 275 pounds. He took the time to talk to Volunteer Country shortly after his offer.
"The offer means a lot! Tennessee is a very prestigious program and is a major SEC school," Lange said. He also cited that much of Tennessee's coaching staff comes from Missouri, as some staffers followed head coach Josh Heupel when he left the University of Missouri to take the head coaching job with the Vols.
"Most of their offensive line staff has worked or is from Missouri, and that is a good connection to have with me being from St. Louis; also, the town of Knoxville is next level," Lange confirms.
Elarbee has preached consistency and relationships since he arrived in Knoxville, Tennessee. They've had to replace several starters from the 2022 team and have done so seamlessly - that bond resonated with Lange. "From what I've gathered, the offensive linemen are all very close, and that bond is important to have."
As many know, assistant offensive line coach Kevin Pendleton is a major asset to Elarbee in the recruiting world. The former University of Missouri staffer has once again come into play, this time for Lange. "It went well because we share a lot of similarities, especially since we are both Missouri guys and we've been in Missouri most of our lives." When asked about a visit and if that intrigues him, he responded, "Definitely, it will probably be in the spring," which is something to look out for as Tennessee attempts to build a relationship with the young lineman from Missouri.
