Josh Heupel Visits Jack VanDorselaer
Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel recently stopped in at Southlake Carroll High School in Texas. Once home to Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers, Southlake fields excellent talent and faces off against some of the best competition in the country. Heupel was there to see 2025 four-star Tennessee tight end commit Jack VanDorselaer.
VanDorselaer is fresh off his commitment to the University of Tennessee and is generating buzz around recruiting circles. He's got athletic potential and played in-line tight end for Southlake, and a big senior season would cap off an impressive development track. The No. 255 prospect in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings, recently visited Knoxville and caught up with Volunteer Country after his time.
The Tennessee commit was asked how his visit was overall, and he stated, “It was great! I got to spend some time with Coach [Alec] Abeln and Coach [Josh] Heupel. I went to the basketball game and saw the Tennessee atmosphere in a different setting. I also hung out with recent quarterback commit George MacIntyre.” He followed it up by saying, “It was good getting to speak with George. I got to hear his thought process and get to know him more. I’m glad he decided on Tennessee; it’s great to have a highly-ranked quarterback throwing you the ball.”
