Max Brown recaps his recent visit to Tennessee
Tennessee has started to jump in on some underclassmen from multiple classes down the road. This includes the ‘2027 class. A specific ‘2027 athlete was in attendance this past weekend for the Texas A&M game.
Max Brown is an upcoming ‘2027 from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Georgia. He currently plays both linebacker and running back for Jefferson at an elite level. Brown measures in at 5'11, 175 pounds, and is also the brother of five-star linebacker Sammy Brown.
Max got to experience an electric atmosphere on Saturday as the Volunteers defeated the Aggies in a down-to-the wire finish. “The atmosphere was BOOMING. Every 3rd down or big play, it got extremely loud. Neyland always has the best atmosphere,” the young talent states. The ‘2027 athlete got to see both of his position groups ball out on Saturday afternoon. “The thing that stood out the most, really for both of them, is that they never stopped fighting. They had one goal, and that goal was to win that football game, and they made it happen. Even though they were down, they kept on chopping wood and came out victorious.” Tennessee, on the offensive side of the ball, was a very run-heavy team, totaling 232 rushing yards. Tennessee’s linebackers were a bright spot in the overall performance as they made plenty of big plays against the run game, which ultimately forced the Aggies offense to pass the ball.
A bunch of the Tennessee coaches made it a priority to talk to the young playmaker. Brown states, “I got to speak with a bunch of coaches: Coach BJ, Coach O’Rourke, Coach Mack, and Coach Amaama. Our conversations were good, mainly about how the season was going and about my lifts and stuff like that.” Max Brown had a very specific view on the University of Tennessee. When asked what he believes makes Tennessee unique, he responded, “Tennessee just gives me the good ole hometown feeling. The town is awesome, the fans are awesome, and the sports are awesome. You won’t find anywhere else just like Knoxville!”
Tennessee has made it a point to jump in on this young prospect's recruitment early and attempt to build a relationship early on in his high school career. Max Brown is definitely a name that every Tennessee fan should keep an eye out for moving forward.
