Ricardo Jones Narrows Recruitment
The Tennessee Volunteers are continuing to retool their secondary through the recruiting trail. They are in several major recruitments, especially in the state of Georgia, and another Peach State prospect is considering Tennessee.
Ricardo Jones is a four-star safety out of Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. He stands 6-3 and 200 pounds and is in the class of 2024. He previously had 33 offers, but he trimmed his list down to nine on Saturday. In addition to Tennessee, the list includes South Carolina, LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, and future member Texas from the SEC. He also named Clemson, Florida State, and Michigan. Tennessee offered Jones in January of this year, and he took an unofficial visit in early April. Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Ole Miss offered the four-star but could not make the shortlist.
All up to the man above now🙏🏽 https://t.co/nh8SROSuoX

Ricardo Jones is a multisport athlete, playing basketball in addition to football. On the court, he averaged 16.7 points per game for Warner Robins this past season. According to MaxPreps, Jones totaled 37 tackles as a junior and had five interceptions and seven passes defended. He also had a tackle for a loss. Jones does a great job of reading the eyes of the quarterback and using his athleticism to react. He is not afraid to come up and make the tackle in the run game, either. After an interception, he looks comfortable with the ball in his hands. He really just has the natural instinct you want out of a safety. He is a natural athlete who just reads and reacts without overthinking. We will see in time where his thinking is, though, in terms of his final college destination.
