Upcoming Tennessee Visit Has Huge Implications For Deuce Knight

2025 four-star quarterback Deuce Knight visits the Tennessee Volunteers this weekend, and the visit is big for both parties.
In this story:

2025 four-star quarterback Deuce Knight confirmed with Volunteer Country that he would visit the Vols on June 2-3. It won't be his only summer stop; Knight said he plans to visit Georgia, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and TCU. He has already scheduled an unofficial visit with the LSU Tigers for June 7, but his stop at Tennessee could be his most important summer visit.

It's no secret that Tennessee is exhausting its options in the 2025 quarterback class. They seem to have settled on Knight and in-state quarterback George MacIntyre. MacIntyre has been their No. 1 target for almost a calendar year, but Knight's recent progression has given the Tennessee coaching staff something to consider. Knight stands a full 6-4 with an elite ability to layer the football and tremendous touch. The Mississippi native has long held an interest in Tennessee; he even told 247Sports earlier in March, "I would say they are the leader right now. I just love the offense. I have been liking Tennessee."

The Vols may decide this weekend what their timetable for those two signal callers looks like. If they are content with both, they may decide to give them the option to take the spot, and whoever claims it first gets it. Whatever the coaching staff decides, it begins this weekend with Knight. They've been recruiting him for a long time, and he's returned their interest. At a certain point, something has to give.
