Tennessee Recruiting Report: Bishop Boswell
Bishop Boswell is a class of 2024, four-star guard from Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a top-ten-ranked player in both positions nationally and within the state. Tennessee and schools like Xavier, Georgia, Wake Forest, and Missouri have offered him.
Boswell is a very lengthy player at 6-4 and 195 pounds. His length is used to get over the top of players for blocks on the defensive end and hit a healthy percentage of shots down low. He is labeled a combo guard due to his passing ability on the fast break and within a slowed-down tempo offense. He is very refined as a scorer at the rim, where he thrives within the game.
He has a sneakily decent three-point shot, too. His game is reminiscent of how Josiah Jordan-James plays. He can be a scorer from all levels at Tennessee with some development. There are plenty of spaces on the floor he can be great at from as well. He is great from the wing, being the main combo guard. But he can handle the ball relatively well for a player at his height. He also can get around taller players due to his tough finishes at the rim, meaning he can easily become more comfortable down low with time.
The Volunteers have yet to land a commitment from any player within the 2024 class. However, Boswell is now one of many offers. Vols head coach Rick Barnes is a North Carolina native and can recruit well. He will be at Neyland Stadium this fall when the Vols play Austin Peay for football on the weekend of September 8th. He will also visit the schools listed above that have also offered him.
