Terry Bussey Narrows Recruitment

Five-star athlete Terry Bussey has had a busy recruitment to date with the Tennessee Volunteers standing firm in the picture. He cut down his list to 11 schools on Wednesday.
In this story:

Five-star athlete Terry Bussey is one of the most dynamic players in America. He plays at Timpson High School in Timpson, Texas, and has been dominating the high school scene down there for some time.

On Wednesday, Bussey trimmed his list of colleges down to 11. He previously had 30 offers. His list includes Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, Florida, Auburn, and future members Texas and Oklahoma from the SEC. He also included TCU from his home state, Nebraska, and Oregon, to round out the list. Bussey recently visited Knoxville in mid-April.

Bussey is a multi-sport athlete, playing basketball and baseball and competing in track and field, in addition to starring on the gridiron. His graphic for narrowing his college list came with him in a football uniform, though. In 2022, he was named Texas District 11-2A-I Overall MVP, Mr. Texas Football by Dave Campbell's Texas Football and Texas Sportswriters Association (TSWA) Class 2A Offensive Player of the Year.

He has experience at many positions, including quarterback and cornerback, but his skill set could definitely be utilized at wide receiver and running back, too. His speed is just too much for defenses. As a runner, he gets by defenders that he has no business getting by, creating big play after big play. He is definitely a player that head coach Josh Heupel would love to have at his expense, and we will continue to monitor his recruitment.
