Grayson High School linebacker Tyler Atkinson is one of the most athletic defenders in the country regardless of class. He ranks as the No. 11 prospect in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports' Composite Rankings, and already reports 42 offers. Atkinson was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and has taken a liking to the Vols early in his recruitment.

Atkinson has been on Rocky Top a few times since he began his high school career. He set a few spring visit dates to see various Power-5 programs, and his journey includes another trip back to Tennessee.

Tyler Atkinson's Spring Visit Schedule

  • Clemson: March 13
  • Georgia: March 14
  • Auburn: March 16
  • Ohio State: March 19
  • Texas A&M: March 28
  • Alabama: April 9
  • Texas: April 11
  • Tennessee: April 13

Atkinson had an uber-productive sophomore season, tallying 197 tackles, 25 for loss, 10.5 sacks, and 23 hurries. He's now a two-time MaxPreps All-American and has the experience and production to suggest high-level stardom at the next level.
