Vols Commit Tyler Redmond Talks Pitch To Ethan Utley And Recent Visit
Tennessee hosted a successful event, attracting many recruits and targets, including some 2025 commits. One of the Tennessee commits in attendance was Milton High School corner Tyler Redmond.
Redmond hails from Alpharetta, Georgia, and committed to Tennessee over several other major suitors. He is a high school teammate with another 2025 commit, corner Dylan Lewis. Following his visit, the talented defensive back spoke with Volunteer Country to detail his trip to his future home.
"My visit overall was good. Every time I go up there, it's just love and a fun experience." Following his opening statement, the talented defensive back was asked if this visit reassured his decision. He responded, "Yeah, of course. Having a relationship with coaches is special."
He was asked what made his school of choice special to him at this point in his recruitment, and he went on to state, "Every time I go up there, there's something new to experience and a different feeling in a good way." Speaking to the coaches, they had a very special message for the Milton High School student-athlete. "Coach Martinez and Heupel were the guys I talked to. We were just catching up on things and really talking about how they are going to use me and expecting me to come out of high school as a playmaker."
Every commit has a target, and it is no secret who Redmond is targeting. "Of course, Ethan Utley always. That's my guy." He has explained in the past to Volunteer Country that they go back quite some time, as he stated, "My pitch to Ethan is let's become teammates again because I already played with him in Little League, so why not do it again?"
