Vols Kept Making Calls To Several Top 2024 Targets
Tennessee continues to try to recruit at an elite level under head coach Josh Heupel. They've experienced much success in the past two recruiting classes, landing several blue-chip prospects that should impact this program for years to come. However, you must keep swinging on the recruiting trail, which sets Tennessee's coaching staff apart.
On3 provided several on-site updates at the Under Armour All-American Game about prospects and their recruitments, which you can read here. The Vols came up more than once for several elite prospects, and it's interesting to note that Tennessee kept swinging with these top talents.
Mylan Graham, Ohio State WR signee
"Ohio State five-star wide receiver signee Mylan Graham said there a few times after his commitment to the Buckeyes that he had some slight second thoughts. Purdue, Tennessee and Alabama were schools who kept in contact and he thought about visiting. Miami and Florida made NIL pitches, but he stuck with the Buckeyes and believes in Brian Hartline."
Jordan Seaton, Colorado OT signee
"Colorado Five-Star Plus+ OT signee Jordan Seaton says the reason he waited to sign until the last day of the Early Signing Period was to make sure he was choosing a school for the right reasons and making the right choice. Ohio State, Tennessee were among the schools trying to change his mind."
Dylan Stewart, South Carolina EDGE signee
"South Carolina signee and Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Dylan Stewart says Miami and Tennessee were among the schools who made late pushes for him. But loyalty is important to him."
Dominick McKinley, Texas A&M DL commit
Five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley did not sign his national letter of intent during the early signing period. He will take official visits over the next few weeks to determine the best fit for him, including a stop in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Vols couldn't find success with the other three, but they are gaining traction with McKinley and will do their best in the coming weeks to flip the talented Texas A&M commit.
