Longhorns Ride Pitching to 4-2 Win Over Titans: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (3-6) are looking to bounce back on Saturday night after dropping the series opener on Friday 6-5 to the Cal State Fullerton Titans (3-4).
It was a disappointing performance all around for the Longhorns in the series opener against the Titans, as the offense finally showed signs of life only for the pitching to be the let down.
Usually reliable staff ace Lucas Gordon only managed 3.2 innings of work in the loss, surrendering four runs, three of which were earned, on five hits. However, it wasn't all bad for Texas as the bats finally looked to come alive.
The Longhorns put up a four-spot in the fourth to take the 5-1 lead before surrendering four runs in the home half of the same inning.
Now, they turn to Zane Morehouse on the mound who will look to string together a second straight quality outing.
Stay tuned as we provide live updates from the Longhorns' Saturday night game against the Titans, the second of a three-game set.
Live updates will be available after first pitch.
