Longhorns Rally Late for 6-5 Win Over Kansas State: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (21-9, 4-2) are set to kick off a three-game conference series on Friday night as they welcome the Kansas State Wildcats (19-12, 5-4) for their third conference series this season.
Texas swept Texas Tech in its first conference series, which saw them wrap up a 14-game stand with a perfect 14-0 record. However, the Longhorns' series against Oklahoma State not only saw their win streak snapped at 16 games but was a series loss.
They bounced back, though, on Tuesday in a relatively easy 7-1 midweek win over AIr Force, a team they've had plenty of experience with in recent memory.
As for the Wildcats, they've been a team with mixed results so far in conference play. They picked up an impressive sweep over Oklahoma but have series losses to both West Virginia and Baylor.
