It has been a very successful month of March for the Texas Longhorns, as they enter their final game sporting a 15-2 record during the month - including a current 14-game win streak after a 14-0 home stand.

The end to their 14-game home stand was their most impressive stretch of wins so far this season, as they swept the No. 22 Texas Tech Red Raiders with a pair of walk off winners in the final two games of the series.

Now, though, they are hitting the road for the first time since dropping a road series to Cal State Fullerton that saw their record fall to an uninspiring 4-7.

While it isn't as lengthy of a road trip as their home stand was, coming in at only four games, it will be another litmus test for the Longhorns. They don't need to go 4-0 to be successful, but also winning 18 straight games would put the country on notice.

First up for the Longhorns is a trip to College State in a midweek game against rivals in Texas A&M.

A look at Texas A&M's season so far

The Aggies entered the season with high expectations following their return to the College World Series last season. So far, though, it has been largely a mixed bag of results. They sit at 15-9 but have struggled out of the gate in conference play, with a 1-5 record, and enter Tuesday night riding a three-game losing streak.

Texas A&M by the numbers

Record: 15-9

Runs scored: 180

Runs allowed: 126

Team Avg.: .268

Team ERA: 4.84

Texas A&M wins this game if...

It can get to the Longhorns starter early and make this a bullpen game. The Texas pitching staff has been the best in the Big 12 so far this season, but has shown issues with bullpen depth at times that could crop up against the Aggies. It won't be an easy task to accomplish, but if they can get the starter out early then the Aggies could snap Texas' winning streak.

Texas wins this game if...

It can just keep doing what it's been doing and keep the momentum rolling when on the road. When you win 14 games in a row, you're clearly doing something right. The lineup has been firing on all cylinders with several clutch hits, while the pitching staff has maintained its early season form. If the Longhorns can just stay the course and not get lost in a hostile road environment, they will rack up their 15th straight win.
