Longhorns Take Series Opener Over Indiana 4-2: Live Game Log

The first Longhorns' weekend series of the year is here, as kick off a home series against the Hoosiers.

The Texas Longhorns (1-3) look to keep their momentum from a dominant showing on Tuesday rolling into Friday night as they kick off their weekend series against the Indiana Hoosiers (2-2). 

After a disappointing opening weekend at the College Baseball Showdown in Arlington, where Texas' bats and defense struggled mightily, Tuesday's 12-2 win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi should inspire confidence of what this team can look like. 

Every starter recorded a hit in the win, including the first career home run for freshman Jalin Flores. No, Texas A&M Corpus Christi is not the stiffest competition but you can only play who is in front of you. 

As for the Hoosiers, they enter the weekend at 2-2 after dropping their opening series to Auburn and picking up a blowout win of their own - a 13-5 win over Miami of Ohio.
