Longhorns Launch Three Home Runs, Beat Privateers 9-3 For Series Sweep: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (13-7) are back in action on Sunday as they look for a sweep of the New Orleans Privateers (11-8).
It has been a series of dominant pitching and clutch hitting for the Longhorns in the first two games of this series, with the duo of Lucas Gordon and Travis Sthele tossing 12 innings and giving up an unearned run each while striking out six and nine respectively.
As for the offense, they only needed three runs in a 3-1 victory on Friday in the series opener. On Saturday, though, the Longhorns exploded for 15 runs on 12 hits - with 12 13 of those runs coming on an eight-run sixth inning and five-run seventh inning.
Now, the Longhorns turn their attention to Sunday as they look to complete the sweep of the Privateers and extend their winning streak to 10 games on the home stand.
Stay tuned as we provide live updates as the Longhorns take on the Privateers in the series finale from Disch-Falk Field.
Live updates will be available after first pitch.
