Mother Nature has played a prominent role in several of the Texas Longhorns' latest games, from pushing back their series against Kansas State by a day to an over hour long delay in a midweek game against Texas Southern

Now, she is once again delaying another Longhorns' conference series as the weekend series against TCU will now be played Saturday-Monday instead of the original Friday-Sunday due to potential inclement weather on Friday in Fort Worth.

The new game times for the series against TCU are as follows:

Saturday at 6 p.m. CT

Sunday at 3 p.m. CT

Monday at 1 p.m. CT

Luckily for the Longhorns, though, they won't have to play five games in five days as a result of this series being pushed back a day like they did after the Kansas State series got postponed.

Rather, after Monday's series finale they will return home before hitting the road once again next weekend for their final road conference series of the season against Kansas.

The Longhorns need to right the ship in quick fashion, especially after their series sweep at the hands of Oklahoma which dropped them out of the top 25 and lost them first place in the Big 12.

TCU won't be an easy series by any means, of course, but it is a key chance for them to get back on track. A series win or even a sweep puts the Longhorns right back in the thick of the conference hunt and sets them up to go on a strong run to end the regular season.
