According to reports, the left-hander is expected to start Tuesday's midweek matchup against Houston Christian. The Longhorns secured a 2-1 series win over San Diego on Sunday afternoon.

Harrison, a 6-2 redshirt sophomore from Friendswood, missed the entire 2023 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in the offseason. As a freshman in 2022, Harrison totaled 31 appearances from the bullpen, 3.06 ERA, and 32 strikeouts in 35.1 innings pitched.

Harrison's last start came against Texas Southern on May 10, 2022. In 2.2 innings, the southpaw allowed four hits and a run while striking out two.

In his return to the mound Saturday, Harrison gave up one run on three hits and struck out two on 26 pitches in a 6-5 loss. He was credited with a no-decision after being pulled in the eighth.

Pitching cost Texas the series sweep in extras, but the offense found life early in Game 3. Six Longhorns drove in a run as the No. 16 Longhorns coasted to a 9-4 win at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Texas tied the game a 3 apiece in the sixth after Porter Brown was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

After building a two-run lead, Will Gasparino and Peyton Powell drove in three with singles down the left-field line. Cody Howard and Max Grubbs, allowed four hits and one earned run combined over the 6.2 innings out of the pen.
