Bijan and Lamar? Longhorns RB to AFC North in Latest NFL Mock
With the Chiefs 38-35 victory over the Eagles in the Super Bowl the NFL season has officially come to an end, and with it the offseason is up next.
As teams continue to turn their attention to the offseason, they do so with the hope of being the next team to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. One such area of improvement comes through the NFL draft, with dozens of mock drafts set to be published before April.
For the Texas Longhorns, it is likely they see their first player picked in the first round since 2015 with running back Bijan Robinson seen by many as a first-round talent. In CBS Sports' latest mock draft, they have Robinson heading to the AFC North.
Rd. 1 Pick No. 22 - Bijan Robinson - RB (Texas)
Bijan Robinson is special, and while he is probably one of the best players in this class, he could still be around late in Round 1 because he's a running back.
J.K. Dobbins showed flashes after returning from ACL surgery, but there isn't a lot of depth behind him. A backfield of Jackson, Dobbins and Robinson is a problem for the rest of the AFC, even if Baltimore has more pressing needs here.
The Ravens boast a potent rushing attack, averaging 160 yards per game on the ground. Lamar Jackson and J.K. Dobbins led the team in yards with 764 and 520 yards respectively despite Jackson only appearing in 12 games and Dobbins appearing in eight.
Adding Robinson to the mix would make the backfield even more lethal, as the Doak Walker winner rushed for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns.
With Dobbins' health issues, Baltimore could be the perfect spot for Robinson to land to start his NFL career. Dobbins, Robinson and Jackson, should the Ravens draft the Texas running back, could become arguably the best rushing attack in the NFL.
