Longhorns Prepared to 'Bounce Back' Against Kansas After TCU Loss Says Steve Sarkisian
The Texas Longhorns were presented a golden opportunity last Saturday to play spoiler to an undefeated TCU Horned Frogs team but were unable to pull off the upset.
Instead, they suffered a close 17-10 loss that diminished their chances of making the Big 12 championship. However, while the Longhorns obviously wanted the win over TCU, they still have two more regular season games left against teams that beat them last season.
First up on the schedule? The Kansas Jayhawks.
How the Longhorns bounce back against the Jayhawks on Saturday will be paramount, especially given their road struggles. As such, Steve Sarkisian has been impressed with what he's seen from the team following the TCU loss.
"The one thing I've learned about our team throughout the season is that we've got a great deal of resiliency," Sarkisian said. "We respond to adversity when it presents itself."
"Naturally coming off of last week's game was a tough loss, but like these guys have done and continued to show me that they do, they bounce back."
Of course, all of this is for not if they can't get the win in Lawrence on Saturday, but a win will mark yet another step forward in year two under Sarkisian.
If they can avoid losing two in a row, and win yet another road game in a hostile environment, then the Longhorns will be well on their way to righting the ship once again.
