The Texas Longhorns have had arguably their best year on the recruiting trail in the Steve Sarkisian, surging into the top five after a hot streak that has landed them multiple elite prospects

On Wednesday, those commitments started becoming signatures on national letters of intent.

And now, elite Waco (Connally) four-star 2024 cornerback Kobe Black becomes the latest, officially signing with the Longhorns

He is Texas' highest-rated defensive back commit in the 2024 class, ranking as the No. 4 corner in the country, the No. 44 player in the nation, and the No. 10 player in the state of Texas per On3's industry ranking.

He chose the Longhorns over Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Oregon and LSU.

At 6-0, 190 pounds, Black played all over the field for Connally over the last three seasons on both sides of the ball. In fact, the Waco, TX. native was one of his team's top offensive threats rushing 48 times for 432 yards and five touchdowns with eight catches for 281 yards and two scores on offense.
