OFFICIAL: 4-Star RB Christian Clark Signs With Texas Longhorns
AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Longhorns have made another talented addition to the backfield with the official signing of 2024 Mountain Pointe (Phoenix) running back Christian Clark on Wednesday.
He picked the Longhorns over some elite programs, including Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and Oregon and pointed toward his chemistry with coach Steve Sarkisian and running backs coach Tashard Choice as a major reason for his commitment.
“I have developed a great relationship with Coach Choice, Coach Sark, and the rest of the UT staff," Clark told On3. "Their plan for me is to develop me into the best person I can be off and the on the field. The offense they run will allow me to showcase my versatility with being able to catch the ball out the backfield, slot, and of course run the football."
This past high school football season, Clark posted 135 rushes for 801 yards and six touchdowns while adding 12 catches for 144 yards.

Clark now joins a running back room that is arguably the team's most talented group, especially if Jonathon Brooks returns next season. Brooks, C.J. Baxter, Jaydon Blue and Tre Wisner are all impressive talents for a program that has established itself as the unofficial RBU in college football.
At the time of Clark's commitment, he had joined a Texas 2024 recruiting class that is already headlined by the likes of quarterback Trey Owens, receiver Freddie Dubose and cornerback Santana Wilson. But this grew to include names like Collin Simmons, Ryan Wingo and more.
