WATCH: Longhorns RB Bijan Robinson's NFL Draft Experience

After an illustrious career with the Longhorns, Bijan Robinson heard his name called at No. 8 overall by the Atlanta Falcons.
In this story:

Before the 2022 season ever started, Texas Longhorns running back Bijan Robinson was routinely seen as a potential first-round draft pick despite playing a position that has seen its first-round value lessened in recent years.

With player comps ranging from current NFL running back Saquon Barkley to an NFL legend in Barry Sanders, expectations were high for what Robinson would do in his presumed final season at Texas

What came next was a season that not only met those expectations but blew them square out of the water. The superstar running back put together a dominant season, rushing for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns while shining in the passing game as well with 19 receptions for 314 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

His dominant final season earned him the prestigious Doak Walker Award and helped him hear his name called in the top 10 of the 2023 NFL draft, going No. 8 overall to the Atlanta Falcons - an experience which can be re-lived in Texas Football's video on Twitter.

Robinson will head to Atlanta looking to become the next great Longhorn running back in the NFL, hoping to join names such as Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams in the illustrious history of the position for Texas.
