Texas Projected To Land 2024 4-Star IOL Daniel Cruz
The Texas Longhorns have landed seven interior offensive linemen in the past two recruiting cycles, and they are in line to land their first in 2024.
Class of 2024 four-star interior offensive lineman Daniel Cruz announced the Longhorns were among his final four schools, along with Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Ohio State Thursday. A few hours after, On3's Justin Wells and Josh McCuistion both marked the fifth and sixth projections, respectively, for Cruz to commit to Texas.
“Coach (Kyle) Flood and that coaching staff are the biggest reasons why I like Texas,” Cruz told On3’s Chad Simmons in March. “I see Coach Flood as the type of coach who develops me and help me get to the next level.”
On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine has Cruz becoming a Longhorn at a 97.3 percent likelihood. Texas A&M is the second-closest projection at 1.2 percent and Ohio State has less than a 1 percent chance of landing Cruz.
With official visit season heating up, Cruz will take one to the Forty Acres on June 23. It will round out a June recruiting trip that featured an official visit to Ohio State last Friday and one to Texas A&M this Friday.
