The Texas Longhorns will host the top running back in the class of 2024. They just don't know when yet.

Four-star ball-carrier Taylor Tatum told On3's Hayes Fawcett that he will be taking an official visit to Austin, but the date is to be announced. Other schools Tatum plans to visit USC Friday through Sunday, Oklahoma June 16-18 and Michigan June 24-26 and Georgia and Texas A&M at dates to be announced.

"The way they produce RBs is crazy and with it being close to home makes it even better," Tatum told On3 of Texas.

Texas first offered the Longview, TX. native Dec. 5, 2022, taking an unofficial visit to Austin Jan. 21.

Tatum, a multi-sport athlete who plays baseball and runs track and field, ran for 1,891 yards and 33 touchdowns of his 2,629 and 39 career yards and touchdowns in his junior season.

On the diamond, Tatum earned Co-Sophomore of the Year honors in 2022, playing second base as well as the outfield. He ran a 6.65-second 60-yard dash — 0.15 seconds slower than Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout — with an average exit velocity of 87.6 mph and an outfield throw speed of 85 mph, according to his Prep Baseball Report page.

He set personal records in the 200-meter dash April 20 and long jump April 13 at 21.7 seconds and 20 feet, 4 1/4 inches, respectively, according to his AthleticNet page.
