Texas Lands Commitment From 4-Star DL Brandon Brown

The Texas Longhorns earned another talented commitment just before signing day

Less than 24 hours until the start of the early signing period for the 2024 cycle, the Texas Longhorns have earned another commitment from a promising young talent for the 2025 class.

This time, it is four-star Eau Gallie (Melbourne, FL) defensive lineman Brandon Brown, who announced his pledge to the program via X on Tuesday.

Brown picked the Longhorns over Miami, UCF, Florida, and Florida State.

Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing in at 286 pounds, Brown is the third commitment of the 2025 class for the Longhorns, joining quarterback KJ Lacey, and tight end Emaree Winston, who committed on Monday night. 

Brown is projected as an interior defensive line prospect.

Brown currently ranks as the No. 283 player nationally, the No. 32 defensive lineman in the country, and the No. 38 player in Florida per the On3 industry ranking.

He is considered a composite four-star recruit and is ranked as such by On3 and Rivals.com. He also ranks as a three-star prospect per 247Sports.
