Marcell Anderson, a 2024 junior college cornerback of Diablo Valley College in California, took his second visit to Austin on Tuesday to visit the Texas Longhorns. But according to an interview with 247Sports, this visit was a different one for Anderson, as he went through the full visit process for the first time and got to catch up with two of the program's best players.

“I think the difference this time is the updated film that I had,” Anderson said to Horns247. “I feel like that was a difference maker. So I was able to go through the whole recruiting process. This time it was on a different level, so I was able to go through the full experience, talk to Jahdae Barron and my boy Xavier Worthy. Just be able to catch up and lock in with them.”

The 6-2 student athlete will be making a switch from playing safety at Chabot College to corner at Diablo Valley College. Anderson said he feels more comfortable and confident in his new position.

The cornerback stated in the interview that he currently has nine FCS offers but is seeking out other potential opportunities that could be presented. Anderson previously took a trip to Colorado and is interested in visiting Oklahoma. However, while Texas has not made Anderson an offer quite yet, he made it obvious that if he were to land an offer with the Longhorns, he would highly cherish it.

“For one, Texas is actually my dream school. So is Ohio State,” he said. “Just being able to have the opportunity come out here, I’m not going to pass up the opportunity up. I don’t care what I gotta spend to get out here. Texas itself is a vibe. I get to see my old time friend Xavier Worthy. It’s just always a vibe.”
