No. 9 Longhorns Basketball Falls in Fort Worth to No. 22 TCU

The Texas Longhorns season has turned sour down the stretch after their second-straight loss
In this story:

Coming off of a tough loss to the No. 7 Baylor Bears in Waco over the weekend, the No. 9 Texas Longhorns had a chance to rebound in a big way against the No. 22 TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth on Wednesday night.

And despite a massive comeback attempt, the offense was not up to the task for the Horns, as they fell to the Frogs 75-73

Texas, which at one point trailed by as many as 16 points, drew the lead all the way down to three points late in the second half, but from there, it was unable to get over the hump, with TCU closing things out with tight defense.

Damion Baugh led the way for the Frogs with a career-high 24 points, while Emanuel Miller added 20.

Meanwhile for the Horns, it was the tandem of Tyrese and Sir' Jabari Rice that were the focus of the offense.

However, the duo combined for just 41 points, with Hunter ending the game with 15 points, and Rice finishing with 16.

And while the defense was able to force the Horned Frogs into a season high 22 turnovers, as a team, the Longhorns shot just 39.1 from the field

The Longhorns will conclude the regular season at home against the No. 3 ranked Kansas Jayhawks at the Moody Center.

The Longhorns fell in their previous matchup against the Jayhawks in Lawrence 88-80 on Feb. 6.
