Longhorns Transfer Target Quincy Olivari Toying with Texas Fans Through Twitter Likes?

However you want to slice it, it's certainly interesting that Texas Longhorns transfer target Quincy Olivari has been active on the UT side of Twitter lately.
In this story:

AUSTIN, Texas -- In what unofficially feels like a 50/50 split, Texas Longhorn fans are either panicking or waiting patiently after some of the major hits the roster has taken early this offseason.

The Longhorns and coach Rodney Terry are yet to receive that first big transfer commitment, though reports have indicated they're closing in on some of the more talented names in the portal.

This includes Rice Owls transfer guard Quincy Olivari, who recently listed Texas in his top-four choices along with Xavier, Miami and Auburn.

But one look at Olivari's "likes" on Twitter, and you'd think he's leaning toward committing to Texas ... at least so it seems on the surface.

Fanbases of his final four teams have been active on Twitter trying to convince Olivari why their program is the one for him. As a result, he's been liking tweets that include the latest Xavier and Auburn commitment news, which would understandably perk up the ears of these fans.

But look a bit closer, and Olivari seems to be even more active on the Longhorns side of Twitter. Is it all just for fun and games? That's up to the imagination. We really won't know for sure until he makes a decision.

Here's some of the recent tweets from Texas fans/accounts that Olivari has liked. And keep in mind, these are just a few of the notable examples.

"@RodneyTerry BRING OLIVARI HOME He is the truth. @quincyolivari Please become a horn!" one fan tweeted.

The Barstool Sports Longhorns account, which has over 26,000 followers, tweeted "Words can’t really describe the importance here now" in response to a tweet that listed Olivari's top choice.

Olivari liked this tweet as well.

An Auburn fan even tweeted this:

"Rodney Terry has to (and should) go hard after Quincy Olivari. They’re definitely in a position where they need quality starters, even more so if a few other guys leave for the draft."

Yep. Olivari made sure to like it.

And here's another interesting one ...

One Texas fan tweeted in response to Thursday's decommitment of five-star guard A.J. Johnson, which sent many Longhorn fans into a frenzy. But the fan doesn't see it as a loss, citing the potential arrival of Olivari and Oral Roberts transfer guard Max Abmas as his personal and unofficial reasoning for Johnson's departure.

"If I was AJ (Johnson) I’d go play Aussie ball too instead of losing playing time to Max Abmas and Quincy Olivari," the fan tweeted. "We losing sleep over Brumbaugh? Feel a lot better losing whatever Rowan was bringing to the table knowing Hot Rod is having multiple conversations with proven talent."

And once again, Olivari liked this tweet.

It gets to a point where some of this has to be some playful teasing on Olivari's part. He's going out of his way to like tweets that mention his name from Twitter users that oftentimes don't have a ton of followers. On some of them, he's one of only a few people to like the tweet.

But maybe the most interesting one is of his like of a jersey swap of Texas quarterback prodigy Arch Manning in a Longhorns basketball jersey.

At this point, Olivari's got to have a grin on his face knowing the (false?) excitement this could bring to Texas fans.

It's unclear when Olivari will make his final decision. But until then, expect some more of his "likes" to cause some fans of all four teams to get their hopes up a bit.
