A memorable 7-10 matchup? When Steph Curry's No. 10 seeded Davidson Wildcats pulled out a six-point win over the Gonzaga Bulldogs to ignite one of the best Cinderella stories in college basketball history in 2008. They reached the Elite Eight that season.

Texas and Colorado State will tip off from the Spectrum Center at 5:50 p.m. CT on Thursday. As 2.5-point favorites, can the Longhorns fend off the Rams?

The rest of the advantage goes to Texas: It will be less than a 48-hour turnaround for CSU and the team has to travel from Dayton to Charlotte.

Texas vs. Colorado State March Madness: Preview, Betting Odds, How to Watch

The Rams (25-10, 10-8) were a somewhat surprising inclusion in the First Four this season, as they were seen by many as a lock to land an at-large bid in the first round.

Colorado State proved that the committee made a questionable choice and left no doubt against Virginia, as forward Joel Scott finished with a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds.

This will mark the third all-time meeting between Texas and Colorado State. The Longhorns lead the series 2-0, though the last meeting was on Dec. 15, 1952, in Austin.
