The Texas Longhorns will look to keep a hold on their Big 12 lead when they host the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday.

The No. 5 Texas Longhorns host the West Virginia Mountaineers at Moody Center Saturday morning for a Big 12 matchup.

Texas (19-5, 8-3) remains in sole possession of first place in the conference, but will need a win over the Mountaineers (15-9, 4-7) to keep a lead in the standings among the rest of the pack in the Big 12.

The Longhorns will be looking to sweep the season series after a 69-61 win over WVU in Morgantown on Jan. 21. However, the Mountaineers are coming off an impressive 76-71 win Wednesday over the No. 11 Iowa State Cyclones. proving they can jostle with anyone despite being third-to-last in the Big 12 standings.

Meanwhile, Texas nearly put together another conference comeback on Monday but fell 88-80 in Lawrence to the No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks.
