Stanford Transfer Portal Tight End Visiting Texas?
Texas Longhorns Football is eyeing a graduate transfer in Ben Yurosek. They have their sights set on former Stanford senior tight end, who is scheduled to visit Austin soon after visiting Georgia over the weekend according to ESPN.
At 6-foot-5 weighing 235 pounds, Yurosek stands out as one of the portal's most skilled and prolific tight ends, with 108 career receptions for 1,342 yards.
Yurosek is a dynamic and established tight end who showcased his talent as one of the PAC-12's most productive and consistent tight ends in the conference during 2021 and 2022.
In 2021, Yurosek led Stanford in both receptions and receiving yards, maintaining a top-three ranking in both categories in 2022.
The 2023 season saw Yurosek's impressive start with nearly 200 receiving yards on 13 catches, accompanied by one touchdown in the initial two games. Unfortunately, injuries hampered his production, leading to his absence or limited physical capacity throughout the latter half of the season playing in only six games.
Since 2021, Yurosek finds himself in exclusive company with former Utah Utes star Dalton Kincaid as the only two tight ends in the PAC-12 to amass over 100 catches for more than 1,000 receiving yards. This places Yurosek in esteemed company, considering Kincaid's first-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Buffalo Bills.
Many believe Yurosek fits the bill for the Longhorns' recent impact additions. Since the playoff loss, Sarkisian and the Longhorns coaching staff have been fervently seeking players in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
