Opening Betting Lines For Longhorns Matchups vs. Alabama and Oklahoma Released

Opening betting lines for two of the Texas Longhorns biggest matchups of the 2023 season have been released.

Coming off of an 8-5 finish last season, The Texas Longhorns will have a difficult road ahead of them in 2023, and are currently projected to face one of the more difficult schedules in the Big 12.

Chief among those big-time matchups, being showdowns with the Alabama Crimson Tide and Oklahoma Sooners

Recently, the opening lines for both of those games have been released by the FanDuel Sportsbook.

And naturally, according to the odds, the Longhorns are set for a tough test in Tuscaloosa, with the Crimson Tide favored by eight points at Bryant-Denney Stadium.

Last season, however, it was an even bigger gap for the Horns, who were 21-point underdogs in Austin to Alabama.

Despite that, Texas nearly pulled off the gargantuan upset, falling just short on a last-minute field goal in a 20-19 loss.

Against the Sooners, on the other hand, Texas is favored by four points.

The Longhorns were 8.5 favorites last season in Dallas, before dismantling the Dillon Gabriel-less Sooners 49-0 in what was the largest margin of victory in the history of the series for Texas.

FanDuel also has the Longhorns tied with Oregon, Washington, Tennessee and Florida State for the 10th-best odds to win the national championship.
