Could Bijan Robinson Be Final Piece of Cowboys Offseason Master Plan?

According to one NFL analyst, all the Dallas Cowboys need now is Texas Longhorns star Bijan Robinson.
In this story:

America's Team is not messing around this offseason.

The Dallas Cowboys have made some serious title-contending-type moves in recent days, trading for wideout Brandin Cooks, and former NFL-All Pro cornerback, Stephon Gilmore.

And they were able to accomplish both moves without giving up a single pick on Day 1 or Day 2 of the NFL Draft

Not to mention, they also freed up ample amounts of cap space, in part due to the release of running back, Ezekiel Elliott.

Now, former Baylor QB Robert Griffin III thinks that the final piece of the puzzle for Dallas this offseason is none other than Texas Longhorns star running back, Bijan Robinson.

Griffin III, well-lauded for his exploits at Baylor, briefly played the role of Cowboys general manager shortly after Cooks' arrival was announced, calling on Dallas to select Robinson.

"Now all the Cowboys have to do is draft Bijan Robinson," Griffin said.

To Griffin's point, Robinson could solve the Cowboys' rushing issues both now and later considering the decision to franchise tag Tony Pollard will have to be readdressed next offseason, one where a more firm - and expensive - commitment would have to be made.

An earner of 4,215 total yards and 41 scores over four seasons in Austin, Robinson has been lauded as one of the best pure prospects and athletes in the draft.

That said, teams have been reluctant to make big investments into running backs in recent years. No rushers heard their names announced in the first round of last year's draft, with the New York Jets getting things rolling with Breece Hall in the 36th overall slot.

No matter what Dallas wants to do with their first pick at 26th overall, however, that entire plan would of course hinge on Robinson still being on the board by the time the Cowboys are on the clock.

And given that Robinson is a top-five talent, regardless of position, that scenario doesn't necessarily seem realistic.

Then again, crazier things have happened.
