FINAL: Longhorns Ride Big Fourth Quarter to 31-10 Win Over Wyoming
It is game day in Austin as the No. 4 Texas Longhorns return to Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium to take on the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday.
Fresh off the program's biggest win since the Horns beat the then-No. 1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners in 2008, the Longhorns will look to turn the page on the win over the Alabama Crimson Tide with another victory.
The Cowboys are undefeated so far this season as well. After nearly defeating the Texas Tech Red Raiders in double overtime (35-33) with a two-point conversion that sealed the deal, the Cowboys had more wiggle room against Portland State in Week 2 (31-17).
While the Texas vs. Wyoming matchup may seem more favorable to the burnt orange side of the field, especially after a monstrous win over the Crimson Tide, it is not to take the Cowboys completely off of the table. Upsets happen, teams have bad games, and eyes on the prize can be distracting.
Overall, the Longhorns currently hold a five-game winning streak against the Cowboys since 1974. In their last meeting in 2012, Texas defeated Wyoming 37-17.
