5-Star WR Micah Hudson Details 'Really Good Time' Visiting Longhorns
There are few players more talented or more coveted in the 2024 recruiting class than Lake Belton wide receiver Micah Hudson.
The Texas Longhorns, of course, are right in the thick of that recruitment as well, with Hudson taking an impromptu unofficial visit to the 40 Acres on Thursday, where he was able to take in everything the program had to offer.
And following his visit, Hudson caught up with 247Sports to detail his time in Austin with the Horns.
"I would give today's unofficial visit an 8 out of 10," Hudson told 247. "I was able to see some things I wasn't able to see before and I had a really good time even though the visit was short."
One of the most important factors for Hudson is his relationship with the coaching staff.
During his time on campus, Hudson spent a good deal of time with new Longhorns wide receivers coach Chris Jackson, and by all accounts, the pair hit things off very well.
"I was able to pick up a good vibe with Coach Jackson and think that we have a good relationship being built up," he said. "He's always real with me and he was just explaining how it would be if I went to Texas."
"I was able to bond with everybody on staff and got a good feel for what the day-to-day life would be like at Texas. When we broke down film together today he was just showing me some of my own film with commentary along with some college film as well."
The No. 3 wide receiver and the No. 9 overall player in. the country, Hudson has another visit to the 40 Acres - this time an official - set for June 23.
The 6-0 foot, 190-pound prospect is also being highly pursued by Texas Tech, Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State among others.
Last season with Lake Belton, Hudson had 65 catches for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also rushed for 243 yards on 32 carries.
