In a stunning turn of events, former UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr will depart without a deal with the New Orleans Saints.

NFL insider Mike Garafolo was among the first to report.

Just a few hours ago, it was reported that Barr and the Saints had reached a deal and would spend the 2023 season in New Orleans.

However, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, as he will now explore other options. This doesn't mean he won't return to the Saints, but it's also not a given.

Barr has been a solid linebacker throughout his NFL career and will look to do the same with another team this season.

The 31-year-old made a name for himself as a Bruin, making him the number nine overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.

Barr's journey will continue; hopefully, he can find somewhere he wants to be soon.
