UCLA Football: Expert Fears SDSU's Defense will Cause Problems for Bruins in Week 2
UCLA is coming off a solid -- if not wholly impressive -- 27-13 win over Coastal Carolina in their season opener at the Rose Bowl last week.
The Bruins' offense sputtered in the first half and the secondary looked shaky, but UCLA was able to seize a firm grip on the game in the second half when freshman QB Dante Moore took over under center.
Now UCLA will head south to take on San Diego State in a week two clash.
The Aztecs are undefeated following wins over Ohio and Idaho State to open their season, and could the Mountain West contenders play spoilers for UCLA down south?
While signs point to another UCLA victory on the surface, David Cobb of CBS Sports made note of San Diego State's strong defense and penchant for knocking off Pac-12 opposition.
"The Aztecs are off to a 2-0 start with victories over Ohio and Idaho State and have forced six turnovers already during the young season. San Diego State has finished .500 or better in 13 straight seasons and taken down its share of Pac-12 foes, including UCLA in 2019."

San Diego State's opportunistic defense might be an area of concern for the Bruins, but UCLA will counter with a quality run game from Carson Steele and a quarterback situation that -- while currently unstable -- boasts the five-star freshman Moore, who looked strong in his college debut on Saturday. Add in wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant, and UCLA looks like they should get their second win of the season this weekend.
