UCLA Football Offers Class of 2025 Linebacker Landon McComber

The Bishop Gorman (NV) recruit was already being pursued by Arizona, Michigan, USC, Notre Dame and other top programs.

The Bruins have entered the fray for a rising Las Vegas prospect.

UCLA football has offered class of 2025 outside linebacker Landon McComber, the Bishop Gorman High School (NV) product announced Friday morning on Twitter. The Bruins have become the 18th program – the fifth in the Pac-12 and soon-to-be the third Big Ten – to offer McComber.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound prospect has added the UCLA offer to a ones from Arizona, Boston College, California, Colorado, Colorado State, Georgia, Hawaii, Michigan, Michigan State, Nevada, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UNLV, USC and Utah State.

The last Bishop Gorman player to don blue and gold at the Rose Bowl was longtime starting quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who was picked in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.

After transferring from Desert Pines High School (NV) to Bishop Gorman for his sophomore season, McComber helped lead one of the top defenses in the West to a 14-1 record. McComber tallied 65 tackles, three tackles for loss, seven sacks and one interception in 11 games for the Gaels.

Five of the top seven players in Nevada for the class of 2025 currently attend Bishop Gorman.

According to 247Sports, On3 and Rivals, McComber is a three-star recruit. In the 247Sports Composite, McComber is ranked as the No. 7 player from Nevada, the No. 37 linebacker in the country and the No. 362 player in his class.

UCLA football is still rounding out its list of targets for the class of 2025.

McComber is one of 11 players who the coaching staff has publicly offered, and one of four linebackers. Alongside McComber, four-star linebackers Weston PortNoah Mikhail and Madden Faraimo have also earned offers from the Bruins.

There is still a long way to go until McComber makes his commitment, but Kelly and the Bruins have entered the hunt relatively early to try and grab an official visit from the Las Vegas native.
