UCLA Remains in Top 25 Rankings at 25 Despite OSU Loss

This bodes well for the rest of the Pac-12 Conference.
In this story:

Upon losing to the Oregon State Beavers this weekend, the UCLA Bruins somehow remained in the top 25 of the AP Poll. It was a poor showing for the Bruins, but maybe they gave UCLA a break since it was a tough road game that they dropped.

UCLA couldn't muster up much of anything against Oregon State on Saturday, and true freshman quarterback Dante Moore struggled mightily. He went 14-33 for 165 yards and one touchdown. But he also had three interceptions, and for the third straight game, he threw a pick-six.

The running game was one of the only solid parts for UCLA in this one, as back Carson Steele ran for 110 yards and one score. But the interceptions from Moore doomed the Bruins in this game, and they never looked back.

Their defense bent for the first time all season, and Oregon State made them look average. It was a strong showing from the Beavers, and they defended their home field to the fullest.

Their chances to win the Pac-12 sit in the gutter, and they will need to regroup next week. UCLA staying in the top 25 sits well for the rest of the conference, however, and it shows the respect being given to this program.

The Bruins head to Stanford to take on the Cardinal next week, and they will need to make sure to come in prepared. Stanford isn't a team to take lightly, especially after they pulled the miraculous upset over Colorado this past week, so the Bruins can't take them for granted in this game.
