The UCLA women's basketball team has been one of the better programs all season long. They've found different ways to win games, all while dealing with some adversity as well.

Guard Charisma Osborne showed her coach some respect on social media following the UCLA Women's Basketball account posting that Close had been named to the Naismith Women's College Coach of the Year Late Season Watch List. Close has the Bruins clicking right now, and she deserves a lot of the credit for the success this season.

She is one of 15 coaches to be named to the watchlist this season. It's quite an honor for her and shows how impactful her leadership has been on the sidelines.

The Bruins sit with a record of 21-5 on the year and are ranked 12th overall in the nation. UCLA is a formidable team and is one that nobody will want to face off against come tournament time.

Close has done a great job at mixing and matching her star players in the lineup, even with a few out for certain amounts of time. She has helped bring this group together, and they play as a unit for each other.

Playing in the Pac-12, UCLA has done its best to stay ahead of the curve. Close is one of five coaches from the conference to be named to the watchlist, showing the strength of the Pac-12 this season.

USC's Lindsay Gottlieb, Colorado's JR Payne, Oregon State's Scott Rueck, and Stanford's Tara VanDerveer are the others on the watchlist. Hopefully, UCLA can finish strong down the stretch for Close to claim this award.
