Your UCLA Bruins have made themselves into one of the largest college basketball powerhouses over the years. They are one of the more historic programs, and they continue to reap the success of that.

Year after year, the Bruins find a way to stay relevant in college basketball. This coming season, they will be relying on multiple freshmen to lead the way. Some of those are international players who decided to take their talents to Pasadena.

The game of basketball is growing in other countries, so we will likely see more international talent make their way to the college game. One player in particular has caught the eye of UCLA, and that would be big man Khaman Maluach from South Sudan.

He stands at 7-foot-2 and is super athletic. Maluach has been dominating at different levels of basketball and is a prime target for the 2025 recruiting class. UCLA has offered the 16-year-old a spot down the line, with the hope of landing him.

Maluach has talked about current Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo as someone that he looks up to.

"I was like, 'Wow!' I have to play basketball. Because of Giannis: that's why I play basketball. Mostly because of him. He came from nothing to something," Maluach continued. "Such things motivated me a lot."

Maluach is currently playing for the NBA Academy Africa and the South Sudan National Team. His upside is tremendous, and he holds a lot of future potential.

He has caught the attention of many while playing in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, and the interest in him should only grow stronger. Hopefully, the Bruins can land his services down the line and he can help them possibly win another championship.
