UCLA Women's Basketball: Bruins Accomplish Huge Feat in Program History
Your UCLA Bruins women's basketball program is off to a blistering start as it embarks on its 2023-24 campaign. Led by sophomores Kiki Rice, Londynn Jones and Lauren Betts, UCLA is currently 9-0, having most recently vanquished No. 20-ranked Florida State University on Sunday, 95-78.
Now, Cori Close's squad has secured an epic achievement in the history of the school.
UCLA has just been named the No. 2 club in the country by the Associated Press once again this week, its highest such ranking ever. As the team announced on its official Twitter/X account, this marks the fourth straight week the Bruins have been ranked second in the nation.
The club deserves all its accolades. The Bruins have one of the best offenses in the college game, as of this writing. Among 360 programs, they rank fourth in points scored per game (92.7) and second in offensive rating (123.9).
Next up for the Bruins is another matchup against a ranked team -- a future Big Ten rival, at that! UCLA will square off against the Ohio State University Buckeyes next Monday, December 18th, at 3:30 p.m. PT.
