UCLA Women's Basketball: Lauren Betts Shines as Bruins Dominate Florida State on the Road
Your UCLA Bruins women's basketball team has once again dominated its most recent opponent, as the Bruins traveled to take on the Florida State Seminoles.
The impressive performance was led by Lauren Betts, who amassed 22 points and 18 rebounds to help the team stay unbeaten.
Joining Betts in scoring and overall amazing play were the usual suspects: Kiki Rice, Charisma Osborne, and Angela Dugalic.
Charisma Osborne was tied for second in points with 16, but she also sank a beautiful three-pointer in the third period, which you can see below:
Angela Dugalic pulled in 16 points of her own, but she added 8 rebounds to her dominant performance. She and Betts linked up for some great trickery in the 1st period.
Kiki Rice also joined the double-digit scorers, bringing down 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Rice has been on a tear lately, as she secured her first career triple-double against Cal State Northridge. Here she is showing off her dribbling skills for the And One.
Four of the five starts for the Bruins all achieved double-digit points, leading to a dominant victory against No. 20-ranked Florida State. At 9-0, the team is in first place in the Pac-12 and is set to take on No. 12-ranked Ohio State next.
Whatever is going on with this team is exciting to see. They continue to gel every week, and their performances are amazing to watch. Coach Close is doing something special with this group, and they continue to shine under her leadership.
The Bruins will be a force to be reckoned with all season, and today's game is just another sample size of what this team is capable of.
