UCLA Women's Basketball: Cori Close Confident Bruins Can Make Noise In March
The UCLA Bruins held strong last night,as they took down #13 ranked Colorado last night. The game was not the prettiest but the defense held strong and allowed the team to win 53-45.
The Bruins have been a bit up and down this season, but not in any way that is disastrous to their chances of making the NCAA tournament.
Head coach Cori Close detailed how the team was able to hang tough to the LA Times, and how they will be planning to make a lot of noise in March.
"That’s what I believe we’re capable of [beating ranked opponents]. I think we had a rough spot in the middle, we didn’t have all of our players, we weren’t all healthy, but we’re getting back together now."

The Bruins had been a bit banged up, especially with star Lauren Betts being out for a few weeks. Injuries are not uncommon in sports, but it's better for players to iron out their injuries before it really matters.
The Bruins are getting healthy at the right time. They have only lost four times to ranked opponents, which is quite impressive.
They will need to ensure they do not drop any more games once the Pac-12 Tournament starts in two weeks.
