UNC basketball target Caleb Wilson, a Holy Innocents Episcopal (Ga.) five-star who ranks No. 4 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, has taken official visits to Auburn, Kentucky, and Stanford.

The Tar Heels, who entered the Wilson sweepstakes via their offer in May, were set to host him for an official visit the second weekend of November. But he postponed the trip without setting a new date.

At the time, his father told recruiting insider Adam Zagoria that the reason for calling it off was for his son "to rest and recharge" ahead of his junior campaign.

On Wednesday, though, Wilson's dad notified Zagoria that his son will be in Chapel Hill for UNC's Feb. 3 rivalry showdown against Duke, one of several other bluebloods who have extended him an offer. The 6-foot-10, 205-pound versatile forward hasn't decided yet whether it will be an official or unofficial visit with the Tar Heels.

Either way, it suggests UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis and his crew remain contenders in the race.

Caleb Wilson, who hasn't named finalists in his recruitment, is one of eight on the Tar Heels' impressive 2025 wishlist. The other seven, including the top-ranked junior in forward AJ Dybantsa, not to mention the rest of the top five, are also five-star prospects ranking among the top 15 in the class.

Thus far, UNC hasn't received a commitment or rejection from any of those targets.
