UNC basketball pledge James Brown was recently back on campus.

Link Academy (Mo.) center James Brown, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound four-star who committed to the Tar Heels in early January, was on an official visit with the UNC basketball program this past weekend. He took an official visit to Chapel Hill the same weekend last year.

On Friday night, Brown was back at UNC's Live Action event in the Dean E. Smith Center. He was there alongside a fellow 2024 Tar Heel commit in Northwood High School (N.C.) five-star small forward Drake Powell, No. 12 overall in the class, and a potential 2025 UNC target in Southern (N.C.) four-star small forward Jackson Keith, No. 72 among juniors.

Then, on Tuesday afternoon, Brown posted pictures of himself in UNC basketball jerseys (home and away versions). The sturdy, lengthy big man, whose passing skills and wide array of scoring moves are beyond his years, noted his excitement to be back on his future stomping grounds:

The expectation is James Brown, Drake Powell, and UNC's third 2024 pledge, Our Saviour Lutheran School (N.Y.) five-star shooting guard Ian Jackson (No. 10 composite ranking), will each sign his national letter of intent during the early signing period in November.

As things stand, third-year UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis and his crew boast the nation's No. 2 recruiting haul in the 2024 arena, below Missouri's class.

And judging by their reported offer sheet, the Tar Heels aren't actively pursuing any remaining undecided seniors.
