Holy Innocents Episcopal (Ga.) five-star power forward Caleb Wilson is having a busy month. While the coveted high school junior's October calendar doesn't include a trip to Chapel Hill, he hasn't forgotten about his UNC basketball suitors.

And Wilson, a 6-foot-10, 205-pound powerful post talent who ranks No. 5 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, will check out the Tar Heels in person next month.

In an interview with MADE Hoops' Travis Graf this week, Wilson broke down the latest moves in his recruitment, recapping his recent visits to Kentucky and Tennessee and detailing the increasingly heavy interest he's received from several other schools.

Included in his comments was a show of appreciation for the Tar Heels' tradition, fans, and coaches.

"Michael Jordan went there, and I really like their fanbase and arena," Caleb Wilson told Graf about the UNC basketball program. "Their coaching staff believes in me, and I've talked to the head coach also."

He's at Stanford for an official visit this weekend. Then, he'll take an official visit to Auburn next weekend. The only other scheduled trip is to Chapel Hill, which Wilson confirmed is "an unofficial" beginning on Nov. 11.

Chances are he will be in the Dean E. Smith Center that weekend to watch the Tar Heels, No. 19 in the preseason AP Top 25 Poll, host Lehigh.

Wilson is one of eight Tar Heel targets in the 2025 arena, where he plans to stay — at least for now.

"I think I'm locked in with 2025," he responded to Graf when asked about the rumors he might reclass to 2024.
