UNC Basketball Pro Coby White Plays Well for Reeling Bulls
The Chicago Bulls are struggling, having lost five straight and sitting at 5-14 on the season. But their lone UNC basketball product, guard Coby White, has been a consistent weapon, especially of late.
In the Bulls' 124-97 road loss against the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Celtics (14-4) on Tuesday night, White finished with 19 points, one rebound, three assists, and zero turnovers across his team-high 30 minutes on the floor.
That marked his sixth straight double-digit scoring outing.
White, now a full-time Chicago starter after drawing only two starting nods in 74 appearances last season, shot 7-for-12 from the field, 3-for-5 from three, and 2-for-2 at the charity stripe against the Celtics.
For the season, he's averaging 13.7 points, 2.8 boards, and 4.0 dimes in 32.2 minutes per game. The 23-year-old, now in his fifth year with the Bulls since going No. 7 overall at the 2019 NBA Draft following his one-and-done UNC basketball campaign, has played in all 19 games thus far.
Coby White and the Bulls have Wednesday off before hosting the Milwaukee Bucks (13-5), who sit one game below the Celtics in the East, on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
