With help from UNC basketball talents Cam Johnson and Day'Ron Sharpe, the Brooklyn Nets tallied their third straight win on Tuesday night and improved to 9-8 on the season. The Nets defeated the visiting Toronto Raptors, 115-103.

Johnson, a full-time starter for Brooklyn, finished only one rebound shy of a double-double. He recorded 18 points, nine boards, and three assists across his 27 minutes on the floor, shooting 6-for-11 from the field, 1-for-4 from three, and 5-for-5 at the foul line.

Through his 10 appearances this season, the 27-year-old Johnson, a former two-year Tar Heel and 2019 lottery pick, is averaging 15.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old Sharpe logged 15 minutes off the bench against the Raptors, totaling five points, five rebounds, and two assists while shooting 2-for-4 from the field and 1-for-1 at the charity stripe.

Sharpe, a late first-round pick in 2021 following his one-and-done UNC basketball campaign, is putting up career-high averages with his 6.5 points and 6.5 boards in 15.1 minutes per game.

The Nets and their pair of NBA Tar Heels now have one day off before hosting the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
